We went to do some archery at an in door range with her cousin.  Are targets were placed on to the side of lots of foam mats squished together by metal bands.  I shot an arrow and it snuck in between the pads and hit a metal screw behind them.  The pointy tip of the arrow became a flat surface.

A student did a one person skit today as part of a group presentation on GLBT.  The character was a lesbian that came out to her parents and her best friend. Both wanted nothing to do with her.  She was sad, but still happy that she had her profession as a elementary teacher that she loved.  When she went to work, someone had heard the she was a lesbian and she was fired.  They said that it was to protect the children.  The character ended up committing suicide.

Some of my students asked me for what classes I am going to teach next semester so they could take them with me.

I talked to a Russian guy in the lab.  He told me how I would be able to go to Russia for 3 months and get paid while there :)

We finally were able to look at a certain house.  Three rooms are way too much for us.

I hung out with my cousin that arrived from Cuba nine months ago.  We made plans to go to the beach next weekend.

Saw videos of Cuba's parade celebrating the victory over the Playa Jiron (Bay of Pigs) invasion and the beginning of the Sixth Congress which is to define the Cuban model of socialism.  This model, unlike the USSR's, is meant to be irreversible; the system will not return to capitalism.  The parade was IMMENSE.  They paraded the Granma which was the yacht that the 26th of July Movement use to reach Cuba from Mexico.  During the parade, the yacht was surrounded by children.  I cannot imagine the feelings going through the people that were at the parade and on the Granma when it was used to start the Revolutionary War.
